Lemon is the main source of citric acid which bleaches the skin and removes the darker patches from the skin. It can also fade darker blemishes to quite an extent. Here is what you do:
- Simply squeeze some lemon juice and using a cotton ball rub it on the affected skin. You can leave it for 10-15 minutes and then wash it off with water. You need to follow this 2 times a day for adequate results.
- You can also make a facial mask using equal proportions of lemon juice and honey. Mix them well and apply on the skin, cover it up with a warm towel for about 15 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. This needs to be done once a week for a few months.
- Always remember that people with over sensitive skin need to dilute the lemon juice before direct application on the skin.
