They say that the first impression is the last impression. It is because of this adage, and of how true it stands no matter what the context, that we care about the way we look, the way we present ourselves. It determines our confidence and how we feel about ourselves. Hence, it comes as no surprise that acne, or even less so, acne scars, are undesirable universally.

Acne is a widespread epidemic problem for people belonging to all age groups, especially among teenagers and women going through menopause. It is during these times of hormonal imbalances that problems with acne become more rampant than usual. Hormonal changes prompt the glands under our skin to produce more oil than necessary or usual, which is why the skin pores tend to get clogged and become an optimum space for the growth of bacteria.

Dealing with acne is a task in itself, but the problem worsens when acne breakouts turn into ugly scars that refuse to budge. Any skin type is susceptible to acne scars, which are generally brown or red in color with an uneven, pitted texture. Acne scars can last up to weeks, or longer, depending on their severity. To get rid of them, people often resort to chemical creams and expensive treatments. However, there are simpler and more effective home remedies that are safer and cheaper alternatives.

These remedies may guarantee results over a short period of time, but they come without side effects-
